Capcom released a ton of new information about one of my favorite games from E3 2010 this week. First and foremost is that the US released date for Okamiden, the sequel to Okami for the PS2 and Wii, has been confirmed for March 15th, 2011. This is right in line with the schedule that Capcom laid out back in June, if not a little earlier than expected.
Capcom along with GameStop also confirmed some pretty good preorder goodies. Keeping in line with the game’s main control mechanic, you can now have your very own Celestial Paint Brush stylus for your DS. The package also comes with a screen cleaner with the Okamiden art work printed it. If you want to pick this package up you will have to hurry, as only the first 20,000 preorders will get the extra swag. GameStop.com currently has the package listed for $29.99.
Finally in an attempt to cash in on Social Media, a Facebook page has been launched which gives you the chance to win the upcoming Nintendo 3DS and DSi XL copies of Okamiden, t-shirts, plush toys, pillows, and key chains. All you have to do is go over to the Okamiden Facebook page and draw the best goblin face that you can for a chance to win.
